In this project, I collaborates with the public by inviting individuals to donate “dreams they had yesterday” for my starting point for drawing.
The finished work was hung in the bedrooms of the collaborators. In that room, what will they dream about next time?

『東京藝術大学大学院で銅版画を探究する真鍋は、寝室に飾るための小さな絵画を提案する。モチーフは、依頼者が見た“夢”のワンシーンである。注文が入ると依頼者から“夢”の話を聞き、イメージをリレーするように彼女自身の脳裏に浮かんだ物語のシーンを銅版に刻む。夢とは脳内に蓄積した記憶や情報が睡眠時に映像化されるもので、たいていすぐに忘れてしまうが、“描かれた夢”はその人の寝室で醒めることなく物語を暗示し続ける。』
Manabe, a graduate student at Tokyo University of the Arts exploring copperplate engraving, proposes a small drawing to be hung in a bedroom. The motif is a scene from a "dream" the client had. When an order comes in, Manabe listens to the client's story of the dream and, as if relaying the image, engraves the scene from the story that comes to her own mind onto the copperplate. Dreams are visualisations of memories and information stored in the brain during sleep, which are usually quickly forgotten, but the 'drawn dream' continues to suggest a story in the artist's bedroom without waking up.
